Hampton Park

Charleston is filled with so many wonderful neighborhoods. Today, I wanted to take a moment and highlight Wagener Terrace. It has a special place in my heart since it is where I call home. I have lived in the neighborhood for about 15 years and cannot imagine living anywhere else. I have sold numerous homes in Wagener Terrace over the years and consider myself a resident expert.

Wagener Terrace lies along the Ashley River. The Southern Boundary is Hampton Park, which is just outside of The Citadel gates; both boast their own rich history. The Eastern Boundary is Rutledge Avenue. Wagener Terrace was part of Orange Grove Plantation that was owned by Captain F.W. Wagner and is still home to Lowndes Grove Plantation house, which is now used for weddings and other events.

 Lowndes Grove

Wagener Terrace is one of the most sought after neighborhoods on the Charleston Peninsula today. The homes range from single story brick bungalows, newer homes in Longborough and Lowndes Point, a few townhomes and condos, most with beautiful architecture from the 1940’s.

Prices currently range from $199,000 to $750,000. Please call or email me today to schedule a showing in Wagener Terrace or to find out more about this great neighborhood.   You will find that some homes still need to be renovated while others are in pristine condition.

Some other great benefits to Wagener Terrace include walking around Hampton Park, great restaurants are popping up in the neighborhood, easy access to all of Charleston, and you might even be able to see the Charleston Riverdogs Fireworks from your house!
