Top 5 Golf Courses in Charleston

If you’re an avid golfer, then your dream neighborhood is probably going to be near a golf course. In order to help you narrow down your choices, we’ve put together a list of Charleston’s top golf courses. (Because trust us, you’re not alone in your love for golf down here!)

1. The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island

Rated 25th among the 100 Greatest US Golf Courses, this is not a course you’ll want to miss. The par-72 Ocean Course was home to the 2012 PGA Championships, and boasts more seaside holes than any other golf course in the country.

2. Crooked Oaks at Seabrook Island

Crooked Oaks is a 6,780-yard, par-72 course located on beautiful Seabrook Island. Golf on a course that is surrounded by marsh, maritime forests, and century-old live oaks covered in moss.

3. The Links Course at Wild Dunes

The Links Course is located on Isle of Palms, and was the first course designed by Tom Fazio. This course is popular for its gorgeous seaside setting and the challenge that the ocean breeze presents golfers.

4. Patriots Point Links on Charleston Harbor

Located in Mount Pleasant, right off the Ravenel Bridge is the beautiful Patriots Point Links golf course. Situated right next to Charleston Harbor, you have the perfect view while you golf on this par-72 championship course.

5. The Links at Stono Ferry

This course, located along the Stono River in Hollywood, South Carolina, offers club membership at no cost to locals, and gives residents a nice getaway from the buzz of Charleston. This course offers plenty for the seasoned golfer, as well as instruction for those looking to improve their game.
